China Datang Corp on March 28 announced the full-capacity commercial operation of its 630°C ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired unit at the Yuncheng plant, the world's first such project with reheat steam temperatures exceeding 630°C and a thermal efficiency above 50%. The single-unit capacity stands at 1,000 MW.
