Coke Production, Sales and Stock (100 Coking Plants)

Fenwei Energy picked representative coking plants as monitoring sites in coke major production areas of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong,Shannxi and Inner Mongolia. In-depth communication with their production and sales staff allows us to create weekly reports on price, inventory, production,cost and sales of each sample plant. We thus can make quantitative research on the production and operation situations of China's coking plants. 

We decide the number of sample plants in each province based on its production. Most of the plants are private ones with higher degree of marketization, supplemented by state-owned plants; a few plants in non-major production provinces are also considered. Coking plants of the same capacity and ownership will be chosen to substitute those that need undergo bankruptcy regrouping. In this case, subscribers will be informed timely.

We have 100 sample coking plants, with total production capacity of 184.58 Mtpa. About 39 coking plants in Shanxi have a total capacity of 80.77 Mtpa, 9 plants in Hebei with 19.1 Mtpa of production capacity, 12 Shandong-based plants, 14.25 Mtpa; 15 plants in Inner Mongolia, 25.43 Mtpa; 5 plants in Shaanxi, 6.5 Mtpa; 20 plants in other provinces, with capacity at 38.53 Mtpa. The total capacity of Sxcoal sampled coking plants accounted for 34.34% of the total capacity of operating coke ovens nationwide. The production capacity of sample coking plants in Shanxi accounts for over 63.25% of the province's total, marking a significant expansion of coverage.
