Renewables accounted for 53.6% of Spain's electricity generation in Aug, while their share rose to 55.1% when estimated output from self-consumption installations was included, grid operator Red Electrica de Espana (REE) said. Renewable generation excluding self-consumption totaled 13.64 TWh. up 11% YoY. Self-consumption systems produced around 1.6 TWh, according to REE's estimates. In Jul, the renewables share was estimated at 54.1%, and 55.7% when adding output from self-consumption installations.
