Shanxi province's ecology and environment department, together with 10 other agencies including the provincial government affairs administration, has issued a work plan to accelerate the development of the national voluntary greenhouse gas reduction trading market. The plan aims to establish by 2030 a multi-departmental mechanism for promoting the application of greenhouse gas voluntary emission reduction methodologies across key sectors, complete a provincial inventory of emission reduction resources and build a project reserve database. It also calls for advancing high-quality development of voluntary emission reduction projects, compiling methodologies tailored to Shanxi's local conditions, and improving the supervision system to help transform the province's ecological resource advantages into green development advantages.
