China's national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading system saw 116,000 tonnes of certified emission reductions (CERs) change hands on Aug 18, with turnover of 11.159 million yuan ($1.65 million) at an average price of 96.20 yuan/t, exchange data showed. Cumulative trading volume reached 20.4 million tonnes with total turnover of 1.61 billion yuan as of Aug 18, 2026.
