China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) said its total installed clean energy capacity has exceeded 110 GW, with business operations spanning 21 countries and regions.

Pang Songtao, CGN's general manager, made the remarks at the company's 2026 Sustainable Development Conference held in Shenzhen on September 7.

CGN has expanded from a single nuclear power business into a "6+1" industrial portfolio covering nuclear fuel, new energy, nuclear technology applications, digital technology, environmental protection technology and industrial services, Pang said.

The company has been developing wind, solar, hydro and energy storage alongside nuclear power to advance its low-carbon transition, he said.

As of August 2026, CGN's cumulative clean energy on-grid electricity output exceeded 38,000 TWh, equivalent to cutting more than 3.5 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and over 1.1 billion tonnes of standard coal consumption, or planting more than 8.55 million hectares of forest, according to Pang.

CGN is also promoting integrated "clean energy+" models, including solar-powered desert control, offshore wind combined with marine ecological protection, and coordinated development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery with clean energy, he added.
