China's national carbon market saw total allowance volume of 503,828 tonnes traded on Aug 24, with total turnover of 49.24 million yuan ($7.26 million), according to data from the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange. The carbon price closed at 97.82 yuan/t, down 0.15% from the previous day, after opening at 97.70 yuan/t and trading between 97.70 and 97.90 yuan/t. Listed contract trading volume reached 203,828 tonnes with turnover of 19.94 million yuan, while bulk contract trading volume stood at 300,000 tonnes with turnover of 29.31 million yuan. No one-way bidding was conducted on the day.
