Japan's crude steel output stood at 6.80 million tonnes in June 2026, up 1.18% year on year but down 2.08% month on month, according to data from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. Pig iron production reached 4.90 million tonnes, rising 3.06% YoY while falling 2.78% MoM.
