Indonesian coal shipment efficiency affected by lower water levels

Drought continued to affect coal barges in Indonesia. The Samarinda Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP) in East Kalimantan lately instructed companies and port owners to limit coal barge loads to 5.5-6 Kt from the previous 7 Kt due to the declining flow of the Mahakam and Barito Rivers, according to a Detik Finance report dated on Sep 7.
