Goldman Sachs flags upside risk to Brent, WTI oil price forecasts on Middle East tensions

Goldman Sachs said the risk of renewed escalation in the Middle East poses upside risk to its forecasts of $80 per barrel for Brent and $75 per barrel for WTI in Q4 2026. If the Strait of Hormuz remains disrupted, Brent crude prices could surge past $120 per barrel in the fourth quarter of 2026, the bank added.
