Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude futures' main contract for October 2026 delivery settled at 685.20 yuan/barrel on Sep 4, down 5.70 yuan, or 0.83%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 215,340 lots, while open interest fell 1,881 lots to 83,624 lots. The main contract saw volume of 161,887 lots, with open interest down 1,266 lots to 35,793 lots.
