Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed crude futures for the main October 2026 contract settled at 720.60 yuan/barrel on Sep 8, up 32.10 yuan, or 4.66%. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 190,334 lots, with open interest rising 2,833 lots to 91,718 lots. The main contract saw volume of 136,321 lots, with open interest down 216 lots to 38,758 lots.
