China's thermal coal imports reached 29.02 million tonnes in Aug 2026, down 10.9% year on year and edging down 0.3% MoM, according to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs. The import value of thermal coal stood at $2.44 billion, down 2.7% year on year and 3.2% MoM.
