China's state planner said it will strengthen market monitoring, industry self-discipline and regulatory enforcement to address low-price disorderly competition in key industrial goods, according to a statement on its website. The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said it will closely track prices and costs in production sectors where such competition is prominent, guide industry bodies to develop group standards for cost accounting, and conduct cost investigations where necessary. The measures aim to regulate pricing behavior and maintain market order, the NDRC said.
