China Huadian Energy Co., Ltd.'s cumulative wind and solar power generation rose 19.91% year on year as of August 31, the company said on September 4.

The state-owned power producer is accelerating development of a new energy supply system featuring safety, reliability, green low-carbon operations and flexibility, the company said.

China Huadian has prioritized renewable energy development including new energy and hydropower, and is fast-tracking base-scale projects such as desert-gobi-wasteland solar and wind bases, hydro-wind-solar integrated bases and offshore wind farms.

Its Chongqing Tongnan gas turbine project has achieved dual commissioning, while all projects under the second batch of national large-scale new energy bases have been completed. The Gansu Tengger desert-gobi-wasteland new energy base and the Jinsha River upstream hydro-wind-solar integrated base are under accelerated construction.

The company said its power projects, new energy projects and projects under construction all rank among the top of peer enterprises.

Green energy is gradually becoming a stable source of incremental supply for China Huadian, with precise dispatch of cascade hydropower stations in the Wujiang and Jinsha River basins, full generation at new energy stations in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Shanxi, and stable full-load output from offshore wind farms in coastal areas during typhoon passages, the company said.
