China's steel exports totaled 75.15 million tonnes in the first eight months of 2026, down 3.0% year on year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs released on September 8. August exports reached 10.16 million tonnes, marking the fourth consecutive month above the 10-million-tonne threshold.
