British Ambassador to China Peter Wilson said China has made significant progress in energy transition, which is not only important for China's own development but will also provide valuable experience for the global energy transition, according to an interview with Xinhua News Agency on the sidelines of the 2026 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum that concluded on Sep 5. Wilson said Britain and China could strengthen cooperation in three key areas going forward: electricity market reform, coal industry transformation and new energy technology.
