China's commodity price index rose 2.8% month on month in Aug to 132.3 points, reversing a prior decline, with the year-on-year gain widening to 18.4%, according to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.The rebound came as domestic and overseas demand recovered, extreme weather disruptions eased and supply-demand dynamics improved in some sectors. Among 50 key commodities monitored by the federation, 27 posted month-on-month price gains in Aug, led by ethylene glycol, diesel and coking coal, which rose 18.2%, 10.1% and 8.9%, respectively.
