China Logistics and Purchasing Federation said on Sept 5 that the country's logistics industry activity index for August stood at 50.9%, up 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, with logistics demand maintaining expansion and the index continuing to improve within the expansion zone. Among 12 sub-indices, eight rose month on month, with the indices for total business volume, new orders and employment staying in expansion territory for multiple consecutive months.
