Jilin Oilfield's 450 MW wind-solar power project was fully connected to the grid and put into operation on August 30, according to Energy China.

The project utilizes idle oilfield land, low-efficiency well sites and drainage areas, combining photovoltaic and wind power in a compound layout. It was developed in phases, with the 100 MW solar portion and 350 MW wind portion built concurrently to ensure efficiency.

Construction of the wind project began on December 16, 2025, while the 100 MW solar section was commissioned in February this year. Cumulative power generation has reached 87.63 GWh to date.

Once fully operational, the project will supply approximately 875 GWh of clean electricity to the grid annually, equivalent to saving about 260,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 720,000 tonnes per year.
