China's power trading volume reached 740.4 TWh in July 2026, up 18.5% year on year, according to data from power exchanges nationwide. Intra-provincial trading accounted for 549.1 TWh, up 19.0% YoY, while inter-provincial and inter-regional trading totaled 191.3 TWh, up 17.2% YoY. By product type, medium- and long-term trading reached 678.6 TWh, spot trading hit 61.8 TWh, and green power trading stood at 27.7 TWh, up 2.7% YoY. Grid companies' agency power purchases totaled 87.2 TWh.
