China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. released its major coal chemical production and sales data for July 2026 on August 17.

In July 2026, the company's polyethylene output stood at 66,000 tonnes, up 106.3% year on year but down 1.5% from the previous month, with sales of 65,000 tonnes, up 109.7% year on year and down 7.1% month on month. 

Polypropylene output was 63,000 tonnes, up 90.9% year on year and down 1.6% from a month earlier, with sales of 58,000 tonnes, up 75.8% year on year and down 7.9% month on month.

Total polyolefin output in July reached 129,000 tonnes, up 98.5% year on year and down 1.5% from the previous month, while sales totaled 123,000 tonnes, up 92.2% year on year and down 7.5% month on month.

During January-July 2026, cumulative polyolefin output reached 893,000 tonnes, with polyethylene at 460,000 tonnes, up 21.7% year on year, and polypropylene at 433,000 tonnes, up 22.3% year on year.

Urea output in July was 184,000 tonnes, down 1.1% year on year but up 9.5% from the previous month, with sales of 145,000 tonnes, down 22.9% year on year and up 15.1% month on month.

Methanol output in July stood at 177,000 tonnes, up 4.7% year on year and 3.5% from the previous month, with sales of 180,000 tonnes, up 37.4% year on year and 2.9% month on month.

The company noted the data was based on internal statistics for investors' reference and may differ from figures disclosed in periodic reports.

The company also cautioned that production and sales data may vary significantly between months due to factors including national macro policy adjustments, changes in domestic and international market conditions, severe weather and disasters, equipment maintenance, safety inspections and changes in coal mine geological conditions.
