China's national carbon market saw its benchmark carbon emission allowance (CEA) price close at 97.44 yuan/t on Aug 6, down 0.12% from the previous trading day, according to data from the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange. The contract opened at 96.50 yuan/t, traded between 96.50 yuan/t and 98.30 yuan/t during the session. Total CEA volume reached 847,506 tonnes, with a turnover of 81.73 million yuan ($11.46 million), comprising 307,506 tonnes transacted via listed contracts worth 29.96 million yuan and 540,000 tonnes via bulk contracts worth 51.77 million yuan. No one-way bidding transactions were conducted.
