All 20 Sxcoal-surveyed coking plants held prices stable on Dec 19. Steel mills were less active in production following sustained drops of steel product prices. This, combined with blast furnace overhauls, largely dragged down molten iron production, denting their demand for coke. After previous active shipments to steelmakers, coke stocks at mills increased, intensifying expectation for 5th round of coke price cut.
