A 1,000-kilovolt UHVAC project, located in Hebei province and Inner Mongolia autonomous region in N China, officially commenced operation on Oct 31, State Grid News reported. The Zhangbei-Shengli project is anticipated to transmit more than 70 TWh of electricity annually to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Shandong and Jiangsu provinces, and other regions.
