Drought likely affects Indonesian miner Alamtri Minerals's Q3 coking coal shipment

PT Alamtri Minerals Indonesia, formerly known as PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia, is facing logistical challenges due to a prolonged drought that has significantly lowered the water level of the Barito River. This situation risks delaying the company's coking coal shipments in Q3 2026. The water level at Tuhup port is currently around 14 m, far below the ideal level of 19-23 m to support coal transportation activities, according to a research report by Indo Premier Sekuritas analyst Ryan Winipta.
