Mongolia exported 6.01 million tonnes of iron ore in the first eight months of 2026, up 7.29% year on year, according to data released by the country's General Administration of Customs. Exports in August 2026 alone reached 851,800 tonnes, with China the sole destination for Mongolian iron ore.
