Maly Port Stevedoring Company, operator of a marine terminal at Vostochny Port in Russia's Primorsk Territory, transshipped 372,100 tonnes of export coal in August 2026, a 7.9% increase compared to the same month last year, Interfax reported, citing the company.

The monthly gain, however, was not enough to offset earlier weakness. Cumulative transshipment for the first eight months of 2026 stood at 2.45 million tonnes, down 1% from the corresponding period in 2025. The terminal had moved 2.08 million tonnes between January and July.

Maly Port, managed by JSC Port Alliance, runs a universal transshipment complex at Vostochny Port comprising three berths stretching 416 meters with depths of up to 12 meters. The facility currently focuses on coal exports, with China serving as its primary market. In 2025, the terminal handled 3.61 million tonnes of coal, up 2.6% year on year.

Port Alliance operates Murmansk Commercial Sea Port, Murmansk Bulk Terminal, Tuapse Bulk Terminal, Daltransugol in the Khabarovsk port of Vanino, and Maly Port. Combined annual capacity across the five assets exceeds 53 million tonnes of cargo.
