China's coal mining and washing industry prices rose 2.8% in August, driven by seasonal increases in electricity and coal demand, while power supply prices gained 1.4%, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Hot and rainy weather disrupted construction activity, pulling down ferrous metal smelting and rolling prices by 0.9% and non-metallic mineral products by 0.2%.
