China's national carbon market prices rise 2.25% on Sep 8

China's national carbon market saw its benchmark carbon emission allowance (CEA) price close at 94.95 yuan on Sep 8, up 2.25% from the previous trading day, according to data from the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange. The market opened at 93.60 yuan/t, with the day's trading range spanning 93.60-96.00 yuan/t. Total CEA volume reached 863,150 tonnes, with a turnover of 81.00 million yuan ($12.07 million), comprising 149,500 tonnes traded via listed contracts worth 14.19 million yuan and 713,650 tonnes via bulk contracts worth 66.81 million yuan. No one-way bidding transactions were conducted during the session.
