China's Ministry of Emergency Management has approved revised rules on safety production permits for coal mining enterprises, following a ministry meeting on Aug 21, 2026. The new measures, set to take effect on Jan 1, 2027, require all coal mining companies to obtain safety production permits before commencing operations, with production activities prohibited without valid certification.
