Yancoal doubles 2026 coal sales cap under Glencore agreement

Yancoal Australia has more than doubled the annual cap on coal sales to Glencore and related entities for 2026 to $750 mln from $350 mln, citing market volatility linked to Middle East conflict and stronger spot sales in H1, local media reported. The Australian coal producer said about $215 mln of transactions had already been recorded under the Glencore Framework Coal Sales Agreement as of Jun 30, leaving limited headroom under the previous cap. The revised limit is intended to ensure sufficient capacity for sales through yr-end, with all other terms of the agreement unchanged.
