China's National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center issued an orange wave warning on Aug 25 morning. Affected by Typhoon Saudel (severe typhoon level), the 18th typhoon of the year, waves of 7-12 meters are expected in the eastern East China Sea from Aug 25 morning to Aug 26 morning, with an orange warning level for offshore waters. During the same period, the Beibu Gulf is expected to see waves of 2.5-3.8 meters, coastal waters off northern and western Hainan and western Guangdong will see waves of 2-3 meters, and coastal waters off Guangxi will see waves of 1.5-2.5 meters, with a blue warning level for nearshore waters.
