China's National Energy Administration Deputy Director Wang Jianbo met with South African Minister of Electricity and Energy Kgosientsho Ramokgopa in Beijing on August 3 to exchange views on advancing bilateral energy cooperation. Wang said energy is a key area of cooperation between the two countries, and China is willing to work with South Africa to make good use of existing intergovernmental mechanisms and cooperation platforms, focusing on energy planning, clean energy, power grids and technological innovation. Ramokgopa noted that South Africa's Integrated Resource Plan 2025 has been implemented and new energy is a priority for the country's future development, expressing willingness to deepen cooperation with China in areas including energy policy, planning, project investment and technical exchanges.
