Shanxi Lu'an Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. announced on Aug 3 that it plans to sign a cooperation framework contract with Shanxi Yangmei Chemical Machinery (Group), Yangmei Group Taiyuan New Chemical Materials, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, and Taiyuan University of Science and Technology to develop an 800t/d ultra-high-temperature coal gasification technology independently. The project, with total investment not exceeding 58 mln yuan, is scheduled for completion by Mar 2028 and will be carried out mainly in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. The initiative aims to advance the company's technological innovation and transformation, enhancing research and industrial demonstration capabilities for clean and efficient gasification of Shanxi coal with high sulfur, high ash, and high ash fusion point.
