China's securities regulator on July 31 approved the registration of coke options on the Dalian Commodity Exchange, a move that expands risk management tools for the coal-coke-steel supply chain. Coke is a core raw material for steelmaking and coal chemical industries. The launch of coke options is expected to bolster stability in metallurgical feedstock supply, enhance supply chain resilience and support high-quality manufacturing development, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
