Shanghai International Energy Exchange data showed the front-month September 2026 crude futures contract closed at 544.20 yuan/barrel on July 29, up 4.00 yuan, or 0.74%. Total traded volume across all contracts reached 207,226 lots, while open interest fell 1,718 lots to 79,300 lots. The front-month contract saw volume of 163,392 lots, with open interest declining 3,029 lots to 38,854 lots.
