Hubei province received 3.62 million tonnes of coal for power generation in June 2026, down 808,000 tonnes or 18.2% from a year earlier, data from the provincial development and reform commission showed. Coal consumption for power generation stood at 3.41 million tonnes, down 506,000 tonnes or 12.9% YoY, while end-month inventories reached 7.25 million tonnes, up 732,000 tonnes from the same period last year.
