Xinji Energy H1 coal output, sales rise YoY

Xinji Energy Co., Ltd. reported increases in both coal output and sales for the first half of 2026, while power generation surged over 80% from a year earlier.

Raw coal output reached 11.33 million tonnes in January-June, up 1.20% year on year, according to the company's interim operating data. Commercial coal production stood at 10.25 million tonnes, a 3.19% increase from the same period last year.

Commercial coal sales totaled 10.12 million tonnes, up 7.27% year on year, though external sales fell 3.59% to 6.16 million tonnes.

Revenue from coal operations rose 13.43% to 5.66 billion yuan, with external sales contributing 3.45 billion yuan, up 5.12%. Coal sales costs increased 10.95% to 3.42 billion yuan, while gross profit from coal sales grew 17.45% to 2.23 billion yuan.

Power generation in the first half surged 84.55% to 12.30 TWh, with on-grid electricity rising 85.15% to 11.62 TWh. The average on-grid tariff, excluding tax, was 0.3655 yuan/kWh, down 1.64% year on year.

The company's coal operations are based in Anhui province, primarily producing thermal coal and some 1/3 coking coal. Its power business, entirely coal-fired, is located in Anhui and Jiangxi provinces.
