India's Jindal Steel has doubled capacity at its Angul plant in Odisha to 12 Mtpa, taking group crude-steel capacity to 15.6 Mtpa, including 3.6 Mtpa at Raigarh, PTI reported. The company said the expansion, completed on schedule, should lift volumes, improve utilization and deliver operating leverage, boosting revenue and margins through better cost optimization.
