Yuncheng, a city in northern China's Shanxi province, consumed 31.87 TWh of electricity over January-October this year, up 1.9% from the preceding year, showed data from the provincial government.

For the non-residential segment, the primary sector, mainly agriculture, consumed 520 GWh of electricity in the same period, up 10.1% from the preceding year. The secondary sector, primarily industrial activities, consumed 22.48 TWh, declining 2.2% year on year. The tertiary sector, largely for services, used 4.36 TWh of electricity, up 13.7% from the year prior.

In January-October, consumption from the residential sector stood at 4.52 TWh, increasing by 12.9% from a year ago, including 1.73 TWh from the urban residents and 2.78 TWh of electricity for the rural residents, up 12.0% and 13.5% year on year, respectively.
