Thermal coal prices in Ordos were stable amid smooth purchases from metallurgical and chemical plants. Demand in NE China and residential sector was strong. Coal trucks at most mines were many, sustaining continued price increases. Contracted supply around the end of a month can still support coal prices. But price growth stabilized as trading activities cooled down around the National Day holiday.
