Poland Jun hard coal output down 13.4% on yr, lignite up 13.7%

Poland's hard coal production reached 3.35 million tonnes in June, down 13.4% from a year ago yet ticking up 0.6% on the month, official statistics showed.

Lignite production was 3.46 million tonnes in the month, up 13.7% year on year and 8.8% month on month, the data showed.

Poland's total coal production was calculated at 6.82 million tonnes in June, decreasing 1.5% year on year but rising 4.6% month on month, snapping a two-month losing streak.

Poland produced a total 41.51 million tonnes of coal during January-June, a 3.8% fall from the same period last year.

Hard coal production was 21.68 million tonnes, down 7.1% on the year, while lignite production gained 0.2% to 19.83 million tonnes.
