Mongolia's coal exports totaled 59.69 million tonnes during the first eleven months of 2023, surging 32.59 million tonnes or 120.21% year on year, according to the latest data from the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA).
The value of coal exports amounted to $7.93 billion during the same period, jumping 38.21% from the previous year.

MCGA didn't release the specific figures for November. Sxcoal calculated the shipments at 7.65 million tonnes based on historical data published by the administration.
The volume represented a notable growth of 91.27% or 3.65 million tonnes on the year, and rose 47.17% or 2.45 million tonnes on the month.
In November, the export amounts totaled $884 million, with the average price calculated at $115.48/t, down $40.99/t year on year and $5.73/t month on month.

Mongolia exported 59.37 million tonnes of coal to China over January-November, soaring 134.07% from a year earlier, taking up 99% of the total.
In November, all Mongolia coal was exported to China for the third consecutive month, up 101.18% year on year and 47.17% month on month. The export earnings were valued at $884 million in November, with the average export price at $115.48/t, down $38.81/t from a year ago and $5.73/t from the preceding month.
Mongolia's exports of bituminous coal jumped 119.51% year on year to 58.94 million tonnes in January-November; and that of anthracite were 154,700 tonnes, up 23.93% from a year ago. Other coal exports came in at 598,900 tonnes, a substantial 355.51% spike compared to the year-ago level.

In November, Mongolia's bituminous coal exports were registered at 7.54 million tonnes, increasing 89.70% from the previous year and 48.26% from a month earlier; exports of anthracite were 2,500 tonnes, compared to zero a year ago and slumping 87.06% from October; and other coal exports were 106,600 tonnes, soaring 335.40% from a year earlier and up 14.66% from the month before.
