Shanghai crude futures' front-month contract for November 2026 delivery closed at 722.50 yuan/barrel on September 21, down 31.90 yuan, or 4.23%, according to data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange. Total trading volume across all contracts reached 322,464 lots, while open interest fell 1,256 lots to 77,894 lots. The front-month contract recorded a volume of 261,713 lots, with open interest down 1,256 lots to 40,972 lots.
