Inner Mongolia Power Group is building a full lifecycle service system for green power and green certificates, leveraging its position as the operator of China's first provincial-level power trading institution qualified to organize both green power and green certificate transactions.

The company has set up green power and green certificate service stations at 57 key industrial parks, implementing a proactive service system and one-on-one assistance for enterprises. In the first half of 2026, it conducted 4,921 service sessions covering power purchase and sale contract signing, power trading, electricity bill settlement, and green power and green certificates.

Inner Mongolia Power Trading Center, the country's first provincial-level power trading institution qualified to organize both green power and green certificate transactions, has been improving its market system that combines medium- and long-term, spot and ancillary services with green power and green certificates.

Since obtaining green power trading qualifications in 2024, its green power trading volume has ranked first among provincial power markets nationwide for two consecutive years. In 2025, it took the lead in bringing all new energy into the market, and in 2026 it completed its first green certificate transaction. From January to July 2026, green power trading volume rose 34% year on year.

The group is actively integrating into the national unified power market, aligning with green power demand from load centers such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta. Green power exports now cover 13 provinces across five major regions — North China, East China, South China, Southwest China and Central China. As of the end of July, cross-provincial and cross-regional green power trading volume exceeded 3 TWh, up 335% from the full year of 2025.

The company has also been optimizing its power business environment, focusing on key industries such as computing power, crystalline silicon and ferroalloys. It is working to ensure grid access for 4 GW of new computing power load and 30 GW of new energy projects, and has helped restore production at 1.7 GW of existing load.

Inner Mongolia Power is advancing full coverage of green certificate issuance, providing one-stop services for issuance, trading and cancellation. In 2025, it issued 149 million green certificates for the year, and in the first half of 2026 it issued 86.48 million certificates, with the full coverage rate up 16% year on year. The company is also exploring cooperation with third-party certification bodies to promote international certification of green certificates.

Next, Inner Mongolia Power Group will continue to improve its full lifecycle service system for green power and green certificates, deepen empowerment of wind, solar, hydrogen and storage as well as coordinated development of computing and power, and explore zero-carbon park and incremental distribution network market operation models.
