Australia's renewable power supplied record 80.5% of the country's total power consumption for the 1st time on Sep 19, with rooftop solar contributing over 50% of the clean energy mix, according to data from Global Power Energy. The landmark surpassed the previous record of 79.84% established on Sep 18. At the time of the record, total power consumption was approximately 32.54 GW with rooftop PV supplying about 16.84 MW.
