Shanghai crude futures' front-month contract for November 2026 delivery closed at 785.20 yuan/barrel on September 17, down 53.20 yuan, or 6.35%, according to data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange. Total trading volume across all contracts was 406,166 lots, with open interest falling 2,877 lots to 81,709 lots. The front-month contract recorded a volume of 310,890 lots, while its open interest rose 2,831 lots to 44,343 lots.
