Inter-provincial market-based power transactions in the State Grid service area rose 5.7% year on year in August, according to data released by Beijing Power Exchange Center.

Transactions totaled 149.3 TWh during the month, while cumulative January-August volumes reached 948.8 TWh, up 9% from the same period last year.

UHV direct current (DC) transactions reached 85.7 TWh in August, up 10.5% year on year. Cumulative January-August UHV DC volumes stood at 497.2 TWh, an 11.6% increase from a year earlier.

Clean energy transactions between provinces totaled 85.8 TWh in August, up 18.7% year on year. During January-August, cumulative clean energy transactions reached 558.1 TWh, up 12.8% compared with the same period last year.
