Xinjiang's outbound coal shipments by rail totaled 58.8191 million tonnes in Jan-Jul 2026, up 9.5% year on year, according to the Xinjiang Coal Trading Center. Xinjiang railway authorities have implemented a tripartite logistics contracting model linking mines, railways and coal-consuming enterprises, launched cross-bureau loop trains, and expanded markets in Hunan, Hubei, Jiangsu and northern ports to support steady growth in outbound shipments. Recently, Xinjiang railways have operated 143 coal trains daily, including 79 bound for destinations outside the region, with daily outbound coal volumes exceeding 290,000 tonnes, providing strong support for energy supply security and stable national economic operations.
